Cutting-Edge Wastewater Treatment Technology provides a more sustainable water supply in Colorado, USA

Cutting-Edge-Wastewater-Treatment-Technology

The city of Lafayette, Colorado, is addressing the critical challenge of sustainable water treatment by constructing a new high-performance wastewater treatment plant. Since 2022, this facility has been integrating state-of-the-art technologies, including the installation of 13 HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixing and Aeration Systems from INVENT, specifically designed for demanding wastewater conditions. These systems enhance sludge stabilization through efficient mixing and aeration, significantly reducing biological and chemical oxygen demand in aerated basins. The technology optimizes sludge quality and improves aeration efficiency while minimizing energy consumption and maintenance costs. Lafayette has a history of collaborating on major water projects to bolster regional resilience against climate change. The new plant will support the city’s water supply needs, with a capacity of up to 6.4 million gallons per day.

This initiative reflects Lafayette’s commitment to modernizing its water treatment infrastructure and ensuring reliable water quality for its growing population.
